Historical Society to Present Profession Development Program to Salem High School and Middle School Teachers.

The Salem County Historical Society is pleased to announce that the Society has agreed to work with Salem High School on a project to provide a series of four Salem County history professional development programs for the history teachers at the Salem High School and Middle School.  The goal of the project is to make the object collections, library, and archival collections of the Historical Society known and available to the faculty at the Salem High School and Middle School in order to assist the teachers in presenting local context to historical concepts and events.

The programs, focused on the American Revolution, World War I and World War II, Industrialization, and the American Civil War, will begin this October and conclude in May of 2017.  They will be put together by the Historical Society Education Committee, Society staff, and volunteers.
